Vacationing at home: Vancouver Sept,2010

This summer Monette came home for just 2 nights. She came for an Arthur Andersen reunion. She spent the first night at dad's, where we had a yummy dinner thanks to Marites and some delicious crab.

The next day Monette rented a room at the Four Seasons, and Mom, Marites and I stayed with her.
Before going to the hotel, Mom, Monette and I stopped at the Pottery Barn for Kids to buy some stuff for the girls. After that Mom and I helped Monette find the right accessories for the reunion at the adjoining Pacific Centre.

At the hotel, the Windsors came over for a quick visit.

Later on that night, Marites and Tyson joined us.

So scandelous. A paster and his girlfriend in the shower together!

We all walked Monette to her reunion and then continued walking down Granville. The streets were alive, even though it was only a Wednesday.

Me and mom were taking pictures like we were tourists. We ended up walking all the way to La Bodega, our most favourite Spanish restaurant. Marites treated us to some tapas. Then we continued our walk, where Mom bought us some giant specialty cupcakes to take back to the hotel. By the time we got close to the hotel we were hungry for more food - hey, it was a long walk! We went into the big London Drugs and filled up a couple bags of junk food. We said farewell to Tyson and went back to the hotel to watch tv and fill up on all our treats.

I slept peacefully through the night (thanks to a pair of ear plugs). After a quick breakfast, we drove Monette to the airport and went home. A short, but sweet mini-vacation!
